When it comes to financial services, flags can be justified to ensure that users fully understand the regulatory frameworks involved. However, we'd still like to see a globe icon used to indicate the gateway. Also, as you'll see in the screenshots, on the Japanese site the global gateway menu is over-localized making it very difficult to use if you don't understand Japanese.
